Summary of "The Complete 1st Season - Finally - Third Watch is on DVD!": It's no surprise that I fell in love with this show after watching the first episode; good writing, strong characters, and the wealth of stories that can come from a city as big as NYC; sign me up! I've watched a lot of cop shows over the years, and for some reason I didn't watch Third Watch when it aired, and now I'm kicking myself. John Wells has produced some of the most entertaining television aired in the last 10 years, and I'm happy to get the chance to watch Third Watch. The set is far from loaded, but the featurette has some good material in it, and the gag reel is entertaining as well. I wish Wells had provided a commentary track for the pilot; oh well.
I know a lot of people have been waiting for this set; it's been one of the top shows on TVShowsOnDVD.com for a long time. Please, please, please go out to the store and buy this set if you're a fan of the show. We've seen too many successful dramas fail on DVD because the fans don't go out and pick it up. Warner Bros has seen some success with ER and The West Wing, so let's add Third Watch to the list! (read entire review)
