Summary of "The Complete 1st season - Fun show": I had a lot of fun watching VIP on DVD. The show is cheesy, but it doesn't try to hide the fact. No one said every show that's on TV has to be Emmy-caliber (though VIP won an Emmy... for editing).
I had a few issues with the bonus material on this set. Someone messed up with the "Behind the Scenes" piece - some of the video looks like crap, and it should have been caught by the person that created it, or someone that watched the featurette before it went on the DVD. There's no excuse for something like that; it's so obvious, and can be easily fixed. My other complaint is with the "Episode introductions" - they're hidden! If you watch the discs using the "play all" option then you'd probably miss them since there isn't any indication that these exist on the discs, there's just a mention of it on the back of the packaging. They should have created a main menu item called "Special Features" that lists the episode introduction on the disc.
This was fun to watch, and I'm looking forward to the next set, whenever that may be. (read entire review)
