Summary of "The 1st Season - All my personalities like this show": I wasn't sold on the show after watching the pilot, but it really started to grab my attention in the second episode. I couldn't sleep the night I started watching the show, so I just kept watching episode after episode, between trying to fall asleep. I paid the price the next day when I woke with a cold, but that just meant I could sit on the couch all day and finish the season.
I fail to understand why Showtime can't get with the 00's and make Dolby Digital 5.1 the default audio track, though I'll admit to enjoying being able to bitch about it every time they release a DVD set. Don't they look at what others are releasing, or do they think the consumers buying their sets are watching the episodes on TVs that aren't connected to receivers and speakers (if so, why bother releasing anything on Blu-ray, since no one would be able to play it)?
I felt a bit ripped off while watching The United States of Tara; I enjoyed it so much that I wanted the season to be longer. That's the sign of a good show, and this is fairly decent set (besides the standard Showtime issues). (read entire review)
