Summary of "The Complete 2nd Season - Finally, season 2!": I think I echo the sentiments of many when I say I didn't expect to see season 2 released, but I'm very happy to have it. Without a Trace is a very good show, and I was bummed when season 2 wasn't being released. My only hope is that the fans of this show realize that Warner Bros is giving the show another chance on DVD and they need to support the show by purchasing season 2. I'd hate to see the show delayed again, or scrapped altogether. Don't wait, buy this set if you want it! I've heard some people say they won't buy a show until they see the studio supporting the show with more sets, but that's not the way TV-on-DVD works. A studio releases a set and the fans determine whether a second season is released by how many sets are sold.
The only corners Warner cut on this release was with the bonus material. The first set included some commentary tracks and various featurettes looking at the first season, while season 2 just includes the "Missing Evidence," which was also on season 1. Honestly, this doesn't bother me at all since we have the episodes on DVD, and that's what really matters. Oh, and as far as I know all the music is intact; I recognized a ton of popular songs in the episodes.
Well, I'm going to cross my fingers and hope that we hear something about season 3 before the end of the year. Of course that'll all depend on how well this set does, so please, buy this set if you're a fan of the show and want to see more released. (read entire review)
The Complete 1st Season - Nice Set, Great Show (9/18/2004)
Summary of "The Complete 1st Season - Nice Set, Great Show": This is a great show. Yeah, I'm biased because I love cop shows, but seriously, this is great. I like that the show doesn't always have a positive outcome. C.S.I. is a great show, but they always get the person they're looking for, with only a few exceptions. The Bruckheimer stamp on the show is obvious, and it's great. That guy knows how to crank out the hits, doesn't he?
Don't forget to catch the premiere of season 3 on September 23rd. (read entire review)
