Summary of "The Complete 2nd Series - Great Sci-Fi": BBC has some of the best, most wonderfully fulfilling shows on television, and I love having them in my collection. From insightful documentaries, to complex and engaging sci-fi series', they have something for everyone. Maybe it's just me, but I find the writing and situations the characters are placed in a little bit more interesting than some of the "formula" television that comes out of North America. Torchwood, while being a spin-off from Doctor Who, certainly pulls its own weight. I enjoy the dynamic between the characters, and the premise behind the show. This DVD set, while not perfect, is worth owning for the show, and for the decent bonus material. I wish the picture quality was a bit better, the audio a bit louder, and I'd love to have some commentary on the episodes, but there are hours of entertainment to be found here.
Hopefully BBC catches up on their Blu-ray releases of the show so season 3 comes out on Blu-ray the same time it comes out on DVD. We can only hope. (read entire review)
