Summary of "James Clavell's Shogun - Restored - They mean it": There are very few sets that I want to watch again right after finishing them, and this is one of them. Everything about this production, and this DVD set, screams of high quality. A series shot entirely in Japan, using a large Japanese cast with beautiful sets and costumes; a story so gripping; a colorful cast; these are reasons to check this out. Paramount has lovingly restored a classic mini-series to DVD, and added a ton of bonus material; I hope they are rewarded with great sales.
Since I was turned onto this mini-series by the people posting on the Home Theater Forum, I hope that something in this review will encourage you to pick this up, even if you've never seen the series before. Trust me, it's worth it. (read entire review)
