Summary of "The Complete 1st Season - I know Samantha!": This is probably one of the weakest DVDs (in terms of extras) that Disney has put out in a long time. Their live-action shows usually contain a lot of great bonus material, so I'm going to blame the lack of content on this set to the strike. That darn strike! At least the material on the set is interesting, and not fluff pieces, though I could have used a longer gag reel.
I loved watching the season 1 set. I thought it was hilariously funny, and a great idea for a show. I wish Melissa McCarthy (Dena) wasn't playing exactly the same character she played in Gilmore Girls (hyper, slightly annoying), but I can overlook it for now. I enjoyed Barry Watson on 7th Heaven, so it's nice to see him show up here. Likewise for Tim Russ, who played the Vulcan Tuvok on Star Trek: Voyager.
Though it's light on extras, Samantha Who? is a great show, and it's worth owning on DVD. (read entire review)
