Summary of "The Complete 1st Season - S.W.A.T.": While not what we're used to these days from cop shows like Homicide: Life on the Streets or Third Watch, S.W.A.T. pitched in to get TV to where it is today. While it's depictions of drug addicts and criminals is heavily sanitized by today's standards, back then it was, well, slightly sanitized, but not was much as you'd normally find. From the opening theme song (and those awesome, 70s style, freeze-frame credits) to the incidental music, this is pure 70s cop show gold. No one knows how the new movie is going to make out, even with the involvement of Colin Farrell and Sam Jackson, but after watching this set you'll know where it all began. (read entire review)
