Summary of "Vol 8. Trackers - It's all over, kids":
The content of this disc looks pretty sparse. 1 episode that has been released out of order, and 4 clip episodes, with trailers as the only extra. Thankfully Columbia TriStar acknowledges this and has knocked $10 off the SRP of the disc ($14.95 instead of $24.95 like the previous releases). It's too bad scripts of the unfinished episodes weren't included on this DVD, but there may have been some legal reasons for this. Fans of the show will want to pick this up to complete their collections. (read entire review)

Summary of "Vol 7. The Zephyr Campaign - ":
Well, I guess this will be the last Roughnecks release, since Vol 6 was a hodge-podge of various episodes, and the final few episodes were never completed. It's a shame they released the series out of order since it destroyed most of the storylines. Fans of the series will pick this one up, but for others...I think it's a rental. (read entire review)

Summary of "Vol 6. The Homefront Campaign - Grumble, grumble...missing episodes...":
There's no excuse for leaving episode 31 off this DVD and that leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. The script for episode 31 and 33 should have been added as extras so people could at least read about what happened. Quite a bummer. I think there's a possiblity that the Asteroid campaign could be released, but I have doubts that we'll ever see episodes 31, 33, 38, 39 and 40. That would make for a very strange release because the episodes wouldn't flow at all. (read entire review)

Summary of "Vol 5. The Klendathu Campaign - Out of order again":
Well, once again I'm a little upset that the show wasn't released in order but at least it's not as bad as the different between volumes 1 and 2. I just love these commentary tracks because they don't really repeat much information from the previous tracks and they give so much insight into the show. They're just great. (read entire review)

Summary of "Vol 2. The Tesca Campaign - Out of Order":
As mentioned before, it's a shame this volume was released out of order. The disc is weak on extras, but at least it contains the excellent commentary track. I really liked this story arc and I'm looking forward to the next DVDs which I'll be reviewing shortly. (read entire review)

Summary of "Vol 4. The Tophet Campaign - Chas kicks!!":
Another excellent release in the series. I only wish Columbia TriStar would add "Character Profiles" and "Bug Profiles" as extras. I'm sure they created "profiles" for the bugs featured in the episodes and it would be excellent to see them added to the DVDs. I'm going to pick up "The Tesca Campaign", the second DVD released but the 4th campaign in the series. Yup, I'm finally realizing what the fan sites have been saying; this is a GREAT show! Summary of "Vol 3. The Hydora Campaign - BUGS!!!":
I've read a lot of complaints that Columbia TriStar Home Video doesn't release any TV product on DVD yet here's a great release from them. People seem to focus on the major shows and forget releases like "Roughnecks: Starship Trooper Chronicles". I was so impressed with this release that I went out and picked up "The Pluto Campaign" the next day. I hope everyone who buys this release listens to the commentary tracks because I found them almost as entertaining as the feature. Look for my "Pluto Campaign" review to follow shortly. I'm glad Columbia TriStar Home Video decided to release "Roughnecks" on DVD since I missed it when it was aired on TV. Since I watched this release after watching "The Hydora Campaign" I really missed the excellent commentary tracks included on the other release. (read entire review)
