This is a common problem on MTV releases, and I'm not sure why. It's a bit spooky being surrounded by voices when they come from every speaker. Summary of "Hook-Ups - Hot Hook-Ups!": I prefer these themed discs more than the "Real World You Never Saw" releases. There's some pretty hot footage in here, and the bonus material is some of the best I've seen for a RL release. The "Featured Musician" is great, and it was nice to see more footage of the guests. Summary of "Season 12: Las Vegas - The best season ever!": Wow, this was a crazy season. Cast members close to leaving, or close to getting kicked off; people hooking up with anyone and everyone; a near threesome in the tub, then later in bed; the yelling, the screaming, and the throwing of objects. I've watched bits and pieces from other seasons, and almost the entire season set in San Fransisco, but this season was just crazy. I was really happy to see how much each cast member leaned about themselves, and what they took away from the experience. This is a solid season for Real World fans, or people that enjoy reality TV. Summary of "The Real World You Never Saw: Las Vegas - Sin City!": I really need to pay for MTV so I can watch the full seasons of this series. Every time one of these "Real World You Never Saw" discs are released I get sad because the season looked so good. I've only seen ONE season, but I loved it. These discs just tease me into wanting more. Boy, this cast looked naughty!

Summary of "Exotic Vacations - I could use a vacation...": While hardcore "Real World" viewers might like a recap of the 8 exotic vacations, I found everything went by rather quickly. We're given very, very short glimpses of the locations the casts went to, and don't get to know the people either. I'd recommend renting this over buying it, even for the die-hard fans. A Decade of Bloopers - Puck...what a freak! (6/03/2002)
Summary of "A Decade of Bloopers - Puck...what a freak!": After watching this disc I came to the conclusion that it's poorly titled. I think a better title would have been "Real World: Reflecting on a Decade." I was expecting this to be laugh-out-loud funny, but I was mildly amused with the "OnStar" segment and the cat that ran under a women's coat. Oh, and Puck's hair is just horrible. If you're a partial "Real World" fan and even slightly enjoyed "Real World: Chicago" I'd recommend that disc over this one. 46 mins is too short when you're showing clips from 10 different seasons of a series. This should have been double the time. This is all just my opinion though, but I'd suggest a rental. (read entire review)

Summary of "The Real World You Never Saw: Chicago - Wow, what a house!": I really wish I had seen "Real World: Chicago" to report on how much of the content is new, and also because it looked like an interesting cast. It's nice that Paramount Home Entertainment releases these DVDs for the fans, but I'd still rather have a disc like this bundled with a season set. I mentioned in my "Back to New York" review that I thought season sets could be coming since Paramount was releasing "WWF Tough Enough: Season One", but apparently I was wrong.

The Real World You Never Saw: Back To New York - The Miz Rocks! (3/03/2002)
Summary of "The Real World You Never Saw: Back To New York - The Miz Rocks!": Even though I've never seen "Back to New York", I loved this DVD. "Real World" puts "Big Brother" to shame and was on long before the "Reality Show" trend started by "Survivor" and "Big Brother". It's nice to see Paramount put out a solid release but instead of these "best of" discs I'd rather see them bundled with the entire season in a box with maybe a few more extras tossed in there for good measure. I'm going to go out on a limb here, but there's a possibility that season sets of "Real World" (and maybe "Road Rules") could be coming. In a few weeks Paramount Home Video is releasing "WWF Tough Enough: Season One", another of the MTV reality series along with a "behind the scenes" disc. Maybe we'll see "Real World: Chicago" released in a season set, or maybe I'll just have to cross my fingers and hope. (read entire review)
