Summary of "Season 3 - What's up, Jack?":
Season 3 of Profiler featured one a cross-over with The Pretender, which aired before the episode in this set. I gather these cross-over episodes are frustrating for the studios involved since it always seems to be different studios that own the rights, making it extremely hard to release the entire storyline. This is the second time A&E has been faced with releasing a cross-over episode (Homicide: Life on the Streets was also affected), and it won't be the last. They've provided a text summary of the episode as well as a video clip, but I'll admit to feeling slightly lost while watching the episode.

This season also marked the exit of star Ally Walker. Just one season left and A&E will have wrapped up another series. I enjoyed the new A&E opening used for this DVD. It's fun to see companies change things up once and awhile. (read entire review)

Summary of "Season 2 - Season 2":
Profiler was one of those shows that I just didn't get around to watching while it was on TV. Thanks to A&E I'm able to go back and catch a quality show that I missed the first time around. Jack of All Trades is one of the most interesting "bad guys" in network television. He's spooky, creepy, and we hardly see him, but his presence is felt throughout the season. The wonderful extras on the first season are lost this time around, as the only extra of substance is the commentary track. Too bad they couldn't have done more on the set, but I'm sure it's difficult to find bonus features for a show like this. They're doing a nice job with what they have. (read entire review)

Jack of All Trades is one of the most interesting "bad guys" in network television. He's spooky, creepy, and we hardly see him, but his presence is felt throughout the season. The brilliant episode of American Justice was the perfect companion to the series. It's nice to see A&E going into their vaults to find episodes which match the content of the shows they have licensed.

The only smudge on this set is the missing episode, but as I said before, I would rather see 1 episode missing over the entire series being skipped over for DVD release. (read entire review)
