This season certainly starts off on a bad note, as the cast remembers Selma. It really hit home for me, as I started watching the season just hours after finding out one of my friends passed away suddenly. Thankfully the tears turned to laughter as Harry and company continue their wacky antics in the courtroom.
I made this plea in my review of season 2, and I'll make it again - please continuing buying these sets so Warner Bros will continuing releasing the show. Remember, you have the power to continue or kill this series, and each set sold really does count. (read entire review)
The Complete 2nd Season - Court is back in session! (2/04/2009)
Summary of "The Complete 2nd Season - Court is back in session!": I'm thankful that Warner Bros found a way to release the second season of Night Court. It's been years since I saw an episode (that would be back when season 1 came out), and it's been many, many years since I saw the show on TV, but it still makes me laugh. I hope fans turn up and buy season 2, or the chances of seeing a third season set will be very, very slim. (read entire review)
The Complete 1st Season - Courtroom Laughs (2/03/2005)
Summary of "The Complete 1st Season - Courtroom Laughs": Weege comments in the commentary track that the show had one of the tallest sitcoms casts; Richard Moll is 6'7 1/2" and Harry Anderson and John Larroquette are both 6'4." I always thought Richard Moll was a giant, and the sad thing is I'm slightly taller than him now. I wondered what Harry Anderson was up to, so I searched Google and discovered he's now a magic shop owner in New Orleans. It seems fitting that a magician-turned-actor would go back to his roots and open a magic shop.
I knew users of the site were excited with the announcement that Night Court was coming to DVD, but it was just another announcement for me. Sure, I remembered watching the show as a kid, but I didn't remember it being funny. 20 years later and I'm dying laughing watching the show. I can't think of the last time I laughed this much watching a sitcom, and now I'm awaiting news of the second season. Warner Bros put together a nice set for a good price ($21 at Amazon.com), and I think fans will be pleased with it. (read entire review)
