Summary of "Season 2 - Crazy Cars!": I wondered how long it would be before the show had some celebrity guests. I think Tony Hawk is a reality show whore, but I mean that in a good way. He's appeared in so many TV shows; he's a cool guy. I was bummed when I saw the same bonus feature on both sets, since it's likely fans of the show will buy the first and second seasons on DVD. Summary of "Season 1 - Those machines are monsters!": Another product of the Sony/Discovery Channel distribution deal, this is the first season set the companies have released together. I wasn't quite sure to expect when I sat down to watch it; the only comparison I could draw was to Pimp My Ride, an MTV show where old cars are fixed up. This is nothing like Pimp, since they're taking perfectly good cars and modifying them for evil purposes (well, not evil...for the most part). It's a wild show, and anyone interested in fixing up cars will become an instant fan of the series.
I could do with a toned-down challenge at the end (I found the announcers very annoying), but the show was pretty interesting. I like that the tasks are difficult to complete, and I liked it even more when they failed. Hey, you can't win them all. (read entire review)
