Summary of "Series 2 - Season 2": Enjoying considerable success on BBC American and with my mom (I loaned her my copy of series one and she's now hooked), the BBC continues to release serviceable sets in a reasonably timely manner. Given the show's soapy nature, the DVDs lack of extras hints strongly that Warner Brothers and BBC intends to sell the sets to more drama fans than tech-heads. Still, while it lacks bells and whistles, it does offer 8 fine looking episodes. I'm fairly sure my mom doesn't care, but appreciates the gesture. I certainly do. Where's series three?

Summary of "Series 1 - Series One": While a commentary track would have been nice, I didn't expect one, given that the unspoken policy for most complete series and seasons on DVD these days is to limit the amount of extras, in order to keep the price down. So,I was happily surprised to find the segment from Holiday. This clip served a bit of a duel purpose though, as it was clear from the cast comments that they were wrapping up series four or five, with little hints of things to come to whet a fans appetite. So it was propaganda for the tourism board and propaganda for the show's producers, it was nevertheless a nice addition.
And even if you don't think you'll like it yourself, you might want to keep it in mind for Mom for Christmas or your girlfriend's next birthday. Because it's a gentle show. (read entire review)
