Summary of "Season 1 - Hah, you thought I was going to say "Who Loves Ya, Baby?"!": I'm torn with this show. Kojak is a cool character, but I found the show a little slow for my tastes. I liked the lollipops, probably because it's such a distinctive character trait (I wonder what Telly's dentist thought). The show featured a number of noteworthy guest stars in the first season. Among them were Harvey Keitel (Pulp Fiction), Hector Elizondo (Chicago Hope), Sally Kirkland (Days of Our Lives), James Woods (Ghosts of Mississippi), Tina Louise (Gilligan's Island), Isabel Sanford (The Jeffersons), John Ritter (Three's Company), Paul Michael Glaser (Starsky & Hutch) and John Hillerman (Magnum, P.I.).
Universal is tying the release of the original Kojak series into the premiere of the new Kojak series starring Ving Rhames as Theo Kojak. Look for it airing on the USA Network March 25. (read entire review)
