Summary of "The Complete Series - Knowing me Gord Lacey, knowing you _______": Don't be put off by the ABBA song used as the theme (and name of the show), but be prepared to have it stuck in your head (I'm going on 4 days now). While the guests, host, and situations are fake, the laughs aren't, and there are plenty to be had here. Partridge wouldn't last a second hosting a real show; I put more faith in the band leader.
I'm always amazed that the BBC can dig up tons of extras for 6 episode seasons. Fans of the show will dig this set, and if you haven't seen it, and love British comedy, then I'd suggest checking it out.
If you're interested in "fake" talk shows then you should also check out BBC's The Kumars at No. 42 about an Indian family that bulldozes their backyard to set up a TV studio so they can host their own talk show. The DVD comes out November 8. (read entire review)
