Summary of "Season 2 - A show that keeps getting better":
I really enjoyed the second season of Being Human, even more than the first. The characters are established, and the story was a bit more compelling. It was also nice having 8 episodes instead of the six from the first season, a fact I didn't realize until I popped in the final disc. I was disappointed in the bonus material for the set though, as it's just a few featurettes, and some Easter egg web content. No commentaries, no deleted/extended scenes, gag reels, or anything else. It's not horrible at all, I was just expecting something more.

It's going to be a long wait for season 3; it hasn't even started airing in UK! (read entire review)

Summary of "Season 1 - Cool show":
We've never gotten official word from BBC as to why the pilot episode was left off the set, so I'm going to take a guess; It's most likely due to the cast change (only one actor remained from the pilot), and possible contracts surrounding that pilot episode. As they explained in the "Toby Whithouse on the Journey," the show wasn't originally picked up as a series, but through messageboards and fan support they were given a greenlight. That's not a normal way for a show to get on TV, and so my guess is that they didn't/couldn't get the ability to release it on home video (it's not on the UK release either).

It took me a few episodes to really get into the show, and care about the characters. I think it was sometime during the third episode that the show started to hook me and I quickly watched the remaining episodes. It's certainly an interesting approach to the supernatural, and that probably explains why the show has garnered so much interest.

I'd rate the bonus material on this Blu-ray as just "okay." None of it is in HD, and while there's some interesting tidbits in there, it's just all video material. Commentary tracks would have been a welcome addition to the set, that's for sure.

The entire time I was writing this I was thinking "Is there enough difference between the BD and DVD to justify getting the BD?" The audio isn't in an HD format and the bonus material isn't in HD, so the only difference between the two is the HD quality for the episodes. Thankfully they made the decision easier, as the price difference is just $5 (suggested retail pricing), and I'd say the HD quality of the episodes is worth it, but that decision is ultimately up to you.
