Summary of "Season 2 - Checking in...": This is such a fun and entertaining series, and I quickly ripped through the DVD set in a day and a half. I love the characters, and the situations they find themselves in. I had to laugh when Tony decided to try out Russian drivers for the hotel; come on, anyone knows that situation can't turn out well. I laughed when I saw Mark Heap as a guest star in one episode; I just saw him in Spaced a few weeks ago.
It's a shame BBC didn't include any bonus material on the set, but the episodes are great to watch. (read entire review)

Summary of "Season 1 - Check Out This Great Series": Wow, what a great show! I loved the cast, and the witty humor that was in each episode. I kept thinking of Las Vegas while I watched this because the shows are so similar. Las Vegas provides a glimpse behind-the-scenes of a casino, while this show provides a glimpse behind-the-scenes of a hotel. Both shows have similar humorous situations, and both have similar visual styles, including the quick motion between locations. I was pleased to hear that the producers looked at Las Vegas when they were trying to choose a style for the series.
I get a bit annoyed with the 90% job that BBC always seems to do. They put together a great set, then mess it up with silly things like chapters in the wrong place, and episodes that span layers. It takes away from the presentation of the great content.
Hotel Babylon is a funny, stylish show, and you should definitely "check out" these DVDs. (read entire review)
