Summary of "Season 6 - It's finished!":
And that's a wrap on this chapter in the Hercules story. I hadn't seen any of these episodes, so I had a lot of fun watching them. I loved the Bruce Campbell episodes, "Hercules, Tramps & Thieves," the final episode to be produced for the series. I have mixed thoughts on the last episode; it was good, but I didn't really like the way it ended. I'd love to see a couple of TV movies produced for the show... just to keep the story going.

These sets have been a real treat to go through. Each one has been packed with bonus material; interviews, featurettes, commentary tracks, photos, trivia...they've featured a little bit of everything. The companies involved did a great job producing the sets, and I'm happy to have them in my collection. (read entire review)

Summary of "Season 5 - I wish I were Zeus' son!":
Wow, the series is almost done on DVD; just one set to go. I loved, "For Those Of You Just Joining Us" because the show was mocking itself, and those episodes are usually very good. The show is so much fun to watch, though the darker tone to the season is obvious. I can't wait for the final season of the series.

I don't think I've ever commented on this before, but the interviews shot for these sets are probably the nicest I've seen, and I've seen a lot. I love the backgrounds in the studio and the sweeping shots they use. They are very, very slick, and I should have mentioned them a few times in the reviews. (read entire review)

Summary of "Season 4 - ":
While watching this set I was alternating discs with another set; Andromeda Season 2. It was rather odd to watch Kevin Sorbo as Hercules one minute, and Dylan Hunt the next. I enjoy both shows, but I find Hercules a little lighter, and a bit more fun to watch. Maybe it's the cheesy slap-stick humor, or maybe it's because Bruce Campbell often turns up in it. Speaking of BC, he's in 6 episode this season, the most out of any season.

This is a decent set, though it contains a recycled featurette, and fewer commentary tracks. (read entire review)

Summary of "Season 3 - More fun!":
I love the light-hearted episodes in this series. Sure, some of them are deep (well...for Hercules), but I like the campy ones, and any episode for Bruce Campbell; he's such a great actor, and is perfect in this series. I don't think I'll ever grow tired of this show. (read entire review)

Summary of "Season 2 - Herc, Herc....come quickly, come quickly":
Like the first season, the second is filled with fun, and total cheese. When the horn went off as a character was checking out Atalanta's body in, "Let the Games Begin," I almost lost it. They really, really should have left that out, but whatever. I also get a kick out of the references made to modern inventions, like shoes with air in them, surfing, and golf, just to name a few.

I say, Anchor Bay, bring on season 3! (read entire review)

Summary of "Season 1 - Strongest Man!":
If you like cheese with your TV, this is a show to watch. It can get down-right funny at times, but it's always entertaining. It was interesting to see both Lucy Lawless and ReneƩ O'Connor playing different characters than they are known for. Also be sure to watch the credits to see Bruce Campbell flash up there. He's a childhood friend of Sam Raimi's, and star of the Evil Dead series; he directed "The Vanishing Dead" in the first season.

Hercules is a fun show, and this is a fairly solid release of the first season. I wish they were able to record Kevin Sorbo and Michael Hurst together so there could be some interaction between the two. (read entire review)
