Summary of "Season 1 (Retail Release) - Rollins Rocks": The Henry Rollins Show kicks ass. Rollins has some great guests, and their chat is different from the usual "so, what are you working on now? Oh, you brought a clip..." chat that is typical of many talk shows. Rollins likes asking tough questions, and his guests are often very candid with their responses. Yes, this kicks ass.
While I really enjoyed the show, the DVD set could use some work. The lack of chapters is annoying, especially when there are very clear breaks - obvious choices for chapter placement. I'm also annoyed there aren't any extras, like extra musical acts (which appeared on the website, according to text in the episodes). How about a commentary track from Rollins, or behind-the-scenes material...ads for some of his other DVDs. Dammit, give us something! Another complaint - this DVD doesn't have 600 mins of content. It's not even "approx 600 mins." Sure, you figure it's 20 episodes of a 30 min show, so it's approx 600 mins, but how about figuring out the actual content, which is only 488 mins. That's almost an hour less than the "approx" time, and it's really not that hard to figure out.
The Henry Rollins Show is an interesting watch - a great way to spend 488 mins. (read entire review)
