Summary of "Season 2 - Pretty package": I was happy to see the inclusion of bonus material on the second season set. Many of the Cannell titles use everything in season 1, then leave the other sets pretty bare. I can do without the script, and the entire episode in Japanese (who is going to watch more than a few minutes of this?), but the Mike Post interview was good. I can't understand why there continues to be audio problems with interviews on the Cannell titles. Is it that hard to get a voice coming through a single speaker?
This is the only full season of the series; season 1 had 8 episodes, and season 3 has 13 (including 4 that didn't air). Just one more release and we'll have the whole series. I like the foil packaging, and the double-slim cases that they used for the set. (read entire review)
Summary of "Season 1 - Nice Jammies!": The Greatest American Hero is such a fun, cheesy show; I want more. Somehow it pulls off humor in serious situations, which can be tough for a show to do right. The interviews were great, and I enjoyed each actor's take on the show. Katt looks a lot older, and different, than the others; he hasn't aged as well. Connie Sellecca is a beautiful woman, both in the show, and in her interviews. I can't believe she will be 50 next year.
If you want a superhero show that doesn't take itself seriously then look no further, you want The Greatest American Hero. Anchor Bay has already announced the second season of the show for April 5th; it's the only full season of the series (22 episodes).
P.S. I was kidding about The Greatest Canadian Hero; the show doesn't exist, but we did have Captain Canuck comics. (read entire review)
