Summary of "Season 2 - Spending time with the girls": Sunday started off as a pretty horrible day at my place. I woke up feeling very sick, and I looked outside to find a yucky, rainy day. I curled up on the couch with my girlfriend and watched all 16 episodes of The Girls Next Door, one after another. I loved that Fox included the "play all" feature on the set; I didn't feel like navigating the menus to watch each episode.
This is a pretty decent set - the commentaries on every episode add a lot of content, though they didn't include any featurettes like last time, and the deleted scenes should have included a "play all" feature (hopefully multiple mentions of this will help them for next season).
Fans of reality TV, or Playboy, should pick this one up, and the uncensored audio and video give TV viewers a reason to own the DVD. (read entire review)
Season 1 - I want these girls next door (7/31/2006)
Summary of "Season 1 - I want these girls next door": I'll admit to enjoying the show, but that doesn't mean it's just for guys; my girlfriend enjoyed it as well. I found it interesting that three women have no problem sharing one man, or having tons of beautiful women around them.
Fox has done a great job with this set. Commentaries on every episode, deleted scenes, interviews, a massive photo gallery, unaired pilot, episode promos - wow! They kinda messed it up by not including the "play all" option when it was appropriate (all over the place), but that doesn't take away from the great extras.
This is a pretty cool show, and Fox has put together a great set for the first season. (read entire review)
