Summary of "Season 3 - It's a girl!": I'm a bit bummed by the bonus material on the set. Season 2 was packed with goodies; commentary tracks, featurettes, songs, artwork and original ads, so a couple of featurettes and some trailers was a bit of a letdown. I'd love to hear Scott Shaw comment on episodes. He's so enthusiastic, and has such a love for the show that I'm sure he would provide some entertaining material for a commentary track.
What a great season! I remembered so many of these episodes, like "Ventriloquist Barney," "Dress Rehearsal," "The Kissing Burglar" and "Dino Goes to Hollyrock." I think these Flintstones releases excite me so much because I'm able to take a trip back to my childhood. I got my lunch ready and sat down exactly at noon to watch an episode, just as I did when I was a kid. The show can't reverse time, but it can allow you to believe, if only for 26 minutes, that you're a kid again. (read entire review)
Season 2 - How can you not love this show? (12/20/2004)
Summary of "Season 2 - How can you not love this show?": Oh yeah, is this an improvement or what? I thought the season 1 set was okay, but this set is amazing. Something tells me season 1 sold so well that Warner Bros bumped up their budget for season 2. The commentary tracks were great, the featurette was interesting and the songs were cool.
I still love this cartoon. There's just something about it that brings a smile to my face. Maybe it's jogging memories from my childhood, or maybe it's the lovable characters, but I have no much fun watching this. I can't wait to see season 3! (read entire review)
Although the episodes were great, Warner Bros has a bit of work to do for the second set. The volume on the audio needs to be increased and there should be at least one chapter in the episodes. Some of the trivia questions printed on the box are wrong: Dino is listed as first appearing in episode 18, but he's clearly in episodes 4 and 16, and there's a question about the opening of the show, except the question doesn't involve the opening of season 1. With a little bit more work Warner Bros could make the set a lot better. (read entire review)
