Summary of "The 1st Season - Scared?": I foolishly watched this show while eating dinner one night; bad move. Only a few of the episodes contain a nasty eating challenge, but I sat down to eat just as the contestants popped sheep's eyes in their mouths. Sick! That's the last time I make that mistake.
I quickly made my way through this 2 disc set. I seemed to get caught up in the crazy stunts, and while the show became a bit repetitive after the first disc, I still enjoyed it. I just got done watching NewsRadio, so it was fun to see Joe in a different role. I wonder how many challenges he could complete?
I knew not to expect anything exciting from Universal when it came to the bonus material, so I wasn't let down when I saw they had included a season 2 episode. There's lots of things they could have added to the set; a list of phobias (the word and definition), a featurette about people facing their fears, a featurette on how the show came together, commentary from Joe and the producers on the first episode, an interview with a psychologist talking about fear...and those are just ideas off the top of my head. Sometimes I wonder if Colleen Benn (the person at Universal in charge of bonus material) realizes they release TV titles, because she doesn't seem involved in any of them. (read entire review)
