Summary of "The 2nd Season - Father Crime-Solver":
It was a lot of fun to hang with Father Dowling and Sister Stephanie for another 13 episodes. This release won't win any awards, but I'm happy CBS is taking the time to put it out on DVD. I wish they would include a "play all" feature though, as I'd like to be able to watch all the episodes on a disc instead of jumping back to the main menu all the time. It's my hope that season 2 sells well enough that we can get the third, and final, season on DVD. Cross your fingers (and buy lots of season 2). (read entire review)

Summary of "The 1st Season - Murder, He Prayed":
I had a blast re-watching the show. Yes, some of the episodes seem a bit dated (I think a number of the situations could have been remedied by someone carrying a cell phone), but it's a product of the times. I had also completely forgotten that the show was based on a series of books by Ralph McInerny. He wrote 29 of them between 1977 and 2009, so fans of the series may want to pick those up if they're looking for more mysteries featuring Father Dowling.

I hope enough people have fond memories of this show that sales justify the release of season 2, followed by season 3. Amazon is selling the set for $21, which is decent for 10 TV-hours worth of material. (read entire review)
