Summary of "The Complete 2nd Season - Absolutely Hilarious Show - Buy it!": I think this DVD was in my house for less than 3 hours before I tore it open and put it in the player. My girlfriend and I were laughing so hard while watching this, I think I saw tears in my girlfriend's eyes. Sure, it helps to know something about computers, but I don't think you'll miss out on jokes if you hardly know anything. The laughs come from the characters, and their behavior, not from computer references.
It's nice to see MPI getting these releases out so quickly. Can I hope to see season/series 3 before the end of the year?
Summary of "Version 1.0: The Complete 1st Season - It's all Geek to Me": One would immediately assume that The IT Crowd is a show that would only appeal to computer-gifted individuals, but that would be selling the series short. Yes, there are lots of computer jokes, and computer-gifted people can probably relate to the two IT characters, but my girlfriend certainly related to Jen, especially during the "shoe" episode. The IT Crowd is a funny show, and this DVD set is very well done, offering viewers lots of bonus material, cool menus, and good value for their dollar. Hopefully the success of the NBC series will be more like The Office than Coupling. (read entire review)
