Summary of "The Complete Season 2 - Great Show, but the DVD....": I absolutely love this show! I've been to a number of the cities featured in season 2, so it's interesting to see what I didn't know existed beneath my feet. The secret tunnels and wine cellars in New York, or the centuries old city of the Knights Templar that lies beneath Acre in Israel. What fascinating stuff, and I missed out!
There's a distinction between a good show, and a good DVD set. This is a good show, but the DVD set is... well... not good. The matted widescreen is a knock against the video quality, but it also completely lacks any bonus material. No extra information on the host or the locations visited. No deleted scenes. Nothing at all, and that's a bummer because it reduces the set to simply a collection of episodes, and something that people who watched the episodes on TV don't really need to own.
If you haven't seen the show before then I'd recommend you check this out. Diehard fans will want to pick up the set, but the only thing it offers is a chance to see the episodes again. (read entire review)
