Summary of "Home For The Holidays - Nut-crackers make good video material": Man, oh man, I don't like the Saget shows at all. I hate the little voices, and the lame jokes between videos. I'm so glad they decided to revamp the show! At least the videos are funny. Speaking of the videos, this is a great collection of holiday-themed home movies, though not every one features Santa (phew!). I was surprised to see that they reuse some of the videos; there were a couple that were duplicated in the episodes.
This is fun to watch while we gear up for the holidays. Be careful this season though, you don't want to make it on the next volume! (read entire review)
Summary of "Volume 1 - LMAO - Good set": Wow, this was a hell of a lot of fun to watch! I watched the show "back in the day" when Saget was the host. I didn't like him at all; cheesy jokes, horrible delivery, and those entrances, oh man! Needless to say, I thought Bergeron was a much better host, after watching this set (I hadn't seen any of his episodes before watching this set). The 300th episode was pretty cool, though it featured many of the videos from the episodes in the set; you'd think they would have selected more older material.
America's Funniest Home Videos is one of the few shows that works in a non-season configuration, and this is a nice start to releasing the franchise on DVD. (read entire review)
