Summary of "Complete 3rd Season - Love JG": I love this show, and I think this is another great set; well worth owning. The extras on the set are superb (once again), though I thought the animated piece would be a bit cooler than it was. What can you do? "Alias Up Close" was very cool, and I liked it almost as much as 'The Making of "The Telling"' documentary from the second season set. I hate that we have to wait until January for season 4, though it'll give non-fans some extra time to catch up with the DVDs if they haven't been following the show since the start.
Alias fans should also take a look at JJ's new show, Lost, which airs Wednesday nights on ABC. Totally different premise from Alias, but I think you'll like it. (read entire review)
Complete 2nd Season - A very, very nice set! (12/18/2003)
Summary of "Complete 2nd Season - A very, very nice set!": I wasn't quite sure how they could top the release of the first season, but they did it. "The Making of 'The Telling'" is such an awesome documentary, but I'm really not surprised. David Naylor of The Naylor Group is also responsible for the amazing Bond documentaries, and it's nice to see that the quality of his work is consistently top-notch. I'm also impressed by the radio interviews; something like that would be easy to leave off the set, but instead they've included them. Things I'd like to see in a season 3 set: "Who's Who" in Alias (a listing of the characters and their roles in the show), more commentary tracks and a longer blooper reel.
Speaking of season 3, hopefully we'll see the set out before the premiere of the fourth season in the fall of '04. I'm going to start on the "Best DVDs of 2003" list fairly soon, and I have a feeling Alias: Season 2 will make an appearance. (read entire review)
Complete 1st Season - A Must Own DVD Set (8/31/2003)
Summary of "Complete 1st Season - A Must Own DVD Set": Alias is one of my favorite shows currently on the air. Buena Vista Home Entertainment has put together a wonderful set for the first season. If you enjoy awesome action, beautiful women, trendy clothes, and great writing, you'll love this set. Our friend David Naylor of The Naylor Group did a fine job on the extras for this set, and combined with the great audio and video, this is a DVD set to own.
With all the sets being released on September 2nd, be assured that you can't go wrong by picking this one up; it's an excellent set. (read entire review)
