Summary of "Season 4 - Don't be a fool...":
Wow, every episode on this set played fine for me; the Universal DVD-18 problem didn't strike again, at least not on this set.

Check out some of the guest stars from season 4: Dana Elcar (MacGyver), Michael Lerner (Kingdom Hospital), Della Reese (Touched by an Angel), Mitch Pileggi (The X-Files), James Avery (The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air), Isaac Hayes (South Park), Hulk Hogan (and many other wrestlers), Robert Pastorelli (Murphy Brown), Pat Sajak (Wheel of Fortune), Vanna White (Wheel of Fortune), Boy George and Branscombe Richmond (Renegade).

This show is a blast to watch, I just wish we had some show-specific bonus features (and an episode from the next set doesn't count). (read entire review)

Summary of "Season 3 - When things go BOOM!":
The most significant thing about the season 3 set is the lack of the Universal opening logo sequence. I really like the Universal opening, but I hated seeing it on every episode!

Three episodes were unplayable on my set due to the poor quality of these DVD-18s. The episodes were "Knights of the Road," "Beverly Hill Assault" and "Trouble Brewing." I actually got excited when I put the last disc in the player and hadn't had an issue yet, but then 3 problems on the last disc. The placement backs up my previous theory that the affected episodes will be the second and third episodes on a disc, which are the episodes before and after the layer change, and the ones closest to the outside of the disc. I didn't mention this in my review of Magnum P.I., but Universal has done something interesting with both sets. Normally the "proof of purchase" for the set is part of a booklet, or the packaging, which annoys the anal collectors (like myself) that don't wish to cut up part of the set to take part in a promotion. Universal has placed little "proof of purchase" stickers over the UPC symbols on the individual slim cases, allowing the consumers to take part in a promotion and not destroy their set in the process. It's a great move by the company!

I was a bit sad to see Amy gone from the show, and in such an odd manor as well. I read the producers wanted to focus on the guys, and didn't feel like having a woman tagging along. I'd love to see some interviews with the cast for the third season, but I'm not holding my breath. (read entire review)

Summary of "Season 1 - Finally, I get to watch this!":
Thanks to Universal I can enjoy something that my parents robbed me of as a child. Do I sound bitter? Of course I do! I'm getting over it though, thanks to these DVDs. I enjoyed Dwight Schultz on Star Trek: The Next Generation, but I think I like his Murdock character better. He's a total nuttjob, or is he? And who can forget the lovable Mr. T? I remember his cartoon series in the 80s (I was allowed to watch that), and I was happy to hear that he beat cancer when he was 49. Then there's Dirk Benedict, probably best known for playing "Starbuck" on Battlestar Galactica, before the character had a sex-change.

Universal owns so many of the 80s action-dramas, it's nice to see them start with The A-Team. I can't wait to watch the second season. (read entire review)
