Ride 'em Ostrichboy

It started as a special episode ("All Growed Up") for the Rugrats's 10th anniversary and has now become its own show. All Grown Up! follows the adventures of Tommy, Chuckie, Phil, Lil, Kimi, Susie, Dil and Angelica 10 years after the original series.

The disc includes:

Dude, Where's My Horse? (46:11)
This might be the best summer vacation ever! Everybody's going to a dude ranch, where they get to load a real live cattle drive. But that's when everything goes really wrong. It's gonna take a Pickle to get them out of this pickle!

Blind Man's Bluff (22:46)
Yu-Gotta-Go (24:17)

Video

Animation can either look really good, or really bad on DVD. The solid colors can reveal poor compression and edge enhancement. This DVD is perfect. The colors are solid, there isn't any edge enhancement and the picture on this DVD is awesome. The disc allows you to play all the episodes, or select a single episode to watch. Unfortunately chapters aren't placed after the opening of the episode.

Audio

This DVD just contains an English stereo track; the Spanish track from previous releases is gone. The center channel is used for most of the voices with the occasional directional effect coming from the left or right speakers. It represents the original material well, so I don't have any complaints. There aren't any subtitles, but the episodes are closed captioned.

Summary

Season sets...please. Heck, I'd settle for more than a handful of episodes on the DVDs...like maybe 10 or 12. The double-length episode was cool, and the "bonus" episodes were nice, but I want more, more, more!
