C.I.A. weapons expert Stan Smith is back, keeping the homeland secure while alienating his family and terrorizing his neighbors in the process. Whether he's saddling up for a mad cow cattle drive or destroying evidence of President Bush's drunken debauchery, Stan does whatever it takes to ensure domestic tranquility and make the world safe for democracy of the ultra-right-wing variety! Join the Smith family and Roger, their alcoholic pet alien, for this hilarious Volume Three of American Dad! God Bless America!
Oh yeah, time for more American Dad. The other day I started to think about this show, and what is in store for Stan if a Democratic (Obama/Clinton) is elected to office. Would he leave the CIA? Only time will tell.

Woooo, this looks great! The picture looks as though it were painted on the screen; nice, bright, solid colors. There isn't much to say about video that looks like this. There's just one small problem; artifacts in a couple of high-motion shots. That's it, that's the only problem. Fox has included a "play all" option for each disc, but the episode lack a chapter right after the opening.
Fans noticed that "The Most Adequate Christmas Ever," the episode that aired between "Surro-gate" and "Franny 911." This episode was held for the next volume at the request of the producers, or so I was told. There are also 3 unrated episodes; American Dream Factory (21:57), When a Stan Loves a Woman (22:35) and The 42-Year-Old-Virgin (21:52). With the exception of "American Dream Factory," the episodes are a few seconds longer.
Fox has delivered another 5.1 track for American Dad, and it sounds really good. You'll notice it during the musical numbers, but there are a few others times where the rear speakers are used for sound effects. There are subtitles in English, French and Spanish, as well as Closed Captions.
One thing to note - there are a number of F-bombs in the uncensored audio tracks (available on some episodes).
I found the commentary tracks very quiet compared to the audio on the episodes.

Comic-Con Table Read (53:07)
The gang goes through a table read at Comic-Con. Unfortunately they didn't have a direct feed for the audio, so it's a bit hard to hear at times. The table read is followed by questions from the audience. I think Jimmy from South Park was asking questions near the end.
Well, this was another enjoyable sit-down with American Dad. There are some great episodes in this set, like "The Vacation Goo," "Four Little Words" and "Big Trouble in Little Langley." Fox has also done a good job with this set, providing commentaries on every episode, tons of deleted scenes, and the Comic-Con table read (I just wish the audio was better on this).
I can't wait until the next DVD set, whenever that will be.
