"Nick Picks" is a collection of "best" episodes from 7 Nickelodeon cartoons.
All Grown up - Lucky 13 (23:33)
One of the most popular kids in the school schedules a party the very same day Angelica is having her big 13th birthday bash!
SpongeBob SquarePants = SpongeBob B.C. (Before Comedy) (23:05)
In this double-length episode, the prehistoric SpongeGear, Patar and Squog discover fire.
The Fairly OddParents - Information Stuporhighway (23:57)
With an embarrassing e-mail from Timmy on its way to Trixie, Timmy has himself turned into data and dives into the Internet to retrieve it!
Jimmy Neutron/The Fairly OddParents - Jimmy/Timmy Power Hour (49:30)
When Timmy Turner wishes for access to the greatest laboratory in the universe, he's transported to Jimmy Neutron's secret lab! Once there, Timmy accidently transports Jimmy into Dimmsdale.
Danny Phantom - Bitter Reunions (24:14)
Danny meets the evil Vlad Plasmius, a childhood rival of his father who, twenty years ago, almost got ghost powers in an accident.
My Life As a Teenage Robot - Hostile Makeover (12:32)
The wicked Cluster infects Jenny with a microscopic nanobot that slowly transforms her into a huge, monstrous, robotic "she-thing."
Rugrats - Finsterella (23:39)
After Angelica points out he's got a stepmom and a stepsister, Chuckie thinks his life is becoming just like Cinderella's.
These are all new shows, or newer episodes of older shows in the case of Rugrats, so the quality is very good. These episodes are all colored on computers so they're very vibrant, and crystal clear. Film defects such as dust, grain and other flaws aren't present. I don't think these episodes will look better than they do here. There's a "play all" feature for the disc.
The English stereo track for this release sounds pretty decent. The voices are crystal clear, and there aren't any audio glitches. There are some decent panning effects, but nothing outstanding. The episodes are closed captioned.
It seems as though Nickelodeon continues to release discs that collect a few episodes of their shows, but they're always renaming the released. This is "Nick Picks Vol 1," but will there be a "Vol 2"? If you've been collecting all the Nick releases then this one has 3 new episodes on it; "Information Stuporhighway," "Bitter Reunions" and "Hostile Makeover." This is a fun disc if you don't mind some possible duplication.
