Space Kidettes and Young Samson kicks off with the adventures of Scooter, Jenny, Snoopy and Countdown - the Space Kidettes - and their puppy Pupstar. Operating from their space capsule-turned-clubhouse, they protect the galaxy from the bumbling Captain Skyhook.
The second half of the show is devoted to Samson, a teen with a big brain, magical bracelets and a dog Goliath who transforms into a lion when it comes time to thwart the diabolical plans of mad scientists. This action-packed 4-Disc Collection includes all 20 Episodes of our resourceful heroes up against space pirates, molemen, monster asteroids and more!
A week and a half ago we
reported that this month Warner Archive would release "
The Space Kidettes and Young Samson"! The plan we passed along was that these would ship from WBshop.com (Warner's online store) as a manufacture-on-demand (MOD) DVD set, with the entire 20-episode run of both shows combined onto a single 4-disc release.
Today Warner made it official, putting this Hanna-Barbera Classic Collection title
up for sale immediately, with shipping available this week. Cost is $29.95 for approximately 400 minutes, presented in full frame video and English mono sound (as originally aired). Here's a high-resolution 3D look at the package art for this cartoon classic:
