This past Friday we
broke the news that Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment is preparing a pair of DVD releases, both coming out on
April 28th:
X-Men - Marvel Comic Book Collection Volume 1 and
X-Men - Marvel Comic Book Collection Volume 2. The studio hasn't released any details yet about the actual contents of these two titles; we only know that they are each going to be a 2-disc set costing $26.99 SRP.
So we've had no word thus far about the running time, the episodes (or even the episode count), or bonus material (if any)...but don't worry, we'll fill you in just as soon as we know! In the meantime, we did manage to get ahold of the full-sized package art for both of these releases, and we've got a look at them for you below. Also, for those of you who missed our update to the original story, be aware that Amazon.com is taking pre-orders for both the
Volume 1 and
Volume 2 sets. Their discounted cost, as of this writing, is $16.99 each (subject to change at Amazon's discretion, without notice...be sure to lock yours in now!).
NOTE: We've learned that these two titles ARE planned to release in Canada as well as the USA. The cost there will be CA$29.99 SRP each. There will be "standard" and "French Canadian" versions of the titles. They are not up for pre-order at Amazon.ca (the Canadian branch of Amazon) yet, however.
