The great folks over at the Comics Continuum website have posted a new report suggesting that the 2001 series
Witchblade, based on the comic book from Top Cow, is coming to DVD! Here's a relay of the Continuum's report , which you can read
in their updates from this past Wednesday (scroll way down to the section marked "Briefly"):
TNT's live-action Witchblade series is apparently headed for DVD. Top Cow publisher Filip Sablik confirmed for The Continuum that Top Cow has been contacted for interviews for a DVD package.
Witchblade, which starred Yancy Butler, aired two seasons on TNT.
Our thanks to Comics Continuum for their info, and to reader Kevin Cushing for alerting us to it. Warner Home Video is the studio which would release
Witchblade on DVD, but they do not have any on-the-record comments for us about this yet. Still, the report at Comics Continuum is a lot firmer-sounding than the
rumors which circulated a few years ago, so maybe this is finally heading in the right direction? It feels pretty good, but keep in mind that things may not be set in stone just yet. Stay tuned, though, and we'll update you if any developments occur!
