HIT Entertainment has announced the first DVD releases of the PBS series
Wishbone.
June 29th will see the release of both
Wishbone - Hot Diggety Dawg (inspired by
Journey to the Center of the Earth) and
Wishbone - Paw Prints of Thieves (inspired by the story of Robin Hood).
Both releases list price at $9.99 for one 28-minute episode.
Hot Diggety Dawg is already
up for pre-order at DVDEmpire.com, where they are currently asking $8.29 for it. Here is the cover art, followed by the story descriptions:
Wishbone - Hot Diggety Dawg
While digging in his neighbor's yard, Wishbone uncovers a mysterious treasure, reminding him of Jules Verne's classic story, Journey To the Center of the Earth. Wishbone imagines himself as Professor Liedenbrock, digging his way to the mystery at the center of the Earth.
Wishbone - Paw Prints of Thieves:
Joe almost gets suspended from school when he donates leftover food to a local shelter. Imitating his master, Wishbone fantasizes that he is Robin Hood, risking arrest by the Sheriff of Nottingham as he robs from the rich to give to the poor.
