Wings - Take Flight With Wings - Season 3, As Tony Shalhoub Joins The Cast!

In our February news formally announcing the first DVD release of Wings, we told you that more sets were on the way this year. And Paramount Home Entertainment is not disappointing us, either: tonight they have officially given the word about Wings - The Complete 3rd Season !

October 24th sees the release of a 4-DVD set running 8 hours, 13 minutes. Emmy-winning actor Tony Shalhoub (who was nominated again this morning for Monk; congrats!) joined the cast this season as Antonio Scarpacci. Of course, this wasn't Shalhoub's first experience with Wings...he appeared in the second-season episode "Looking for Love in All the Wrong Places," as the head waiter of a restaurant during a very confusing Valentine's Day date for Joe and Helen!

But Shalhoub wasn't the only Emmy-nominated actor to join the cast in 1991! Four years before she became Dr. Kerry Weaver on ER, Laura Innes appeared in Wings in a recurring role for a couple of seasons (actually, just a few episodes over that time) as "Bunny Mather," the previously mentioned-but-not-seen wife of bumbling mechanic Lowell Mather (Thomas Haden Church). Other well-known faces you'l recognize in the third season's 22 episodes include Kelsey Grammer and Bebe Neuwirth in their Cheers roles as Dr. Frasier Crane and Dr. Liltih Sternin-Crane, and future Frasier cast member Peri Gilpin, plus Cagney & Lacey's Tyne Daly, Lost's Matthew Fox and key Iran-Contra Affair figure Oliver North as well. Here's the packaging:
