Last November we
talked about a probable Memorial Day-timed release of
The Winds of War at the end of May.
Paramount hasn't yet confirmed a street date for this release, but they have re-worked the DVD set into a
Special Collector's Edition, and drastically re-worked the cover art they were thinking about at the time.
Here's the latest art, direct from Paramount. It's marvelous, if you ask me, showcasing the actors and characters in this story, yet framing them top and bottom with images that remind you of the conflict they were a part of. This almost certainly will be the final cover art used for the miniseries release:
