Wheelie and the Chopper Bunch - The '70s Hanna-Barbera Series Coming to the Warner Archive in 2011

13-episode series, with a star-studded voice cast, is planned for February

Posted by David Lambert
The folks at the Warner Archive Collection have leaked the title of one of their WBshop-exclusive MOD (manufacture-on-demand) titles which will become available in February. It's the classic Hanna-Barbera animated series Wheelie And The Chopper Bunch, which aired Saturday mornings on NBC back in 1974-75. The 13-episode run starred the voices of Frank Welker ("Megatron" of the original Transformers), Don Messick ("Boo-Boo" and "Ranger Smith" from the original Yogi Bear cartoons), Judy Strangis ("Judy/Dyna Girl" in Electra Woman and Dyna Girl), Lennie Weinrib ("Hunk" in Voltron: Defender of the Universe) and Paul Winchell (Winnie the Pooh's "Tigger" AND "Dick Dastardly" of Wacky Races). No specific release date is available yet, nor pricing or cover art. But stay tuned and we'll fill you in once we find out for ourselves!
