What's New Scooby-Doo? - Vol 6: Monster Matinee has been announced for an
August 9th release, just in time to particpate in Warner's 2005 Scooby-Doo promotion. In regard to the promo, look for great deals on all
Scooby DVDs; details will be found in a store near you. As far as
Monster Matinee goes, though, we've got all the details for you right now. Here's the description Warner sent us:
It's a scream when rock band KISS plays Banning Junction's 100th-Anniversary Halloween Party in "A Scooby-Doo Halloween." Before scarfing up all the candy, the Mystery Inc. gang tries to scare up some nasty celebration spoilers. The legendary "San Franpsycho" snatches a champion skateboarder on notorious Alcatraz Island. Scooby-Doo and crew much catch some big air - and a scar-covered ghost! In "New Mexico, Old Monster," Scooby-Doo and good buddy Shooby-Doo solve the mystery of the flying Wakoomee Beast. On a visit to Japan, Shaggy's "Big Appetite in Little Tokyo" leads him to devour a cursed pizza that turns his dreams to nightmares when he becomes the Shagzilla who devours Tokyo! Episodes: "A Scooby-Doo Halloween," "San Franpsycho," "New Mexico Old Monster," and "Big Appetite in Little Tokyo."
Special features for on this disc are "Haunted Hoax" and "Scooby-Doo menu challenge." Running time for the 4 episodes is 88 minutes, and the cost is $19.97 SRP. There are soundtracks in English, French and Spanish, all in Surround Stereo 2.0, plus there are subtitles in all three languages as well. Besides that, the release is closed captioned for the hearing impaired. Video is in the original 4:3 full screen format. Cover art isn't available yet, but stay tuned!
