In June 2005, New Line (which has now been absorbed into Warner Bros., and is no longer run independently) released the first season DVDs for
Wanted: Dead or Alive, starring Steve McQueen. In 2007, BCI Eclipse (which was
shut down by owner Navarre late last year) picked up the rights to the remaining two seasons, releasing them in July and October of that year. Currently, all three seasons are discontinued, but we've got good news for fans who may not own them yet.
A new pair of listings, added to Amazon.com earlier today, shows that Mill Creek Entertainment has acquired the home video rights to
Wanted: Dead or Alive, and is bringing it back to DVD on
August 25th, with two titles. The first is
Wanted: Dead or Alive - The Complete Series, which appears to stuff all 94 episodes of the classic western onto 11 DVDs, at a cost of just $29.98!
Or, if you would rather, they will also be offering
Wanted: Dead or Alive - Season 1 on the same date, on 4 DVDs for just $14.98. No further details are available yet, nor package art, but we wanted to pass on the early info to you for now. We'll update you as soon as we can, though, so stay tuned!
