Back in January, we
mentioned an
Adventures of Superman single-DVD release that basically was the first disc out of the first season set, but sold by itself. This was made available, we found out, at the request of some of the retailer chains (NOT the Best Buy/Wal-Mart/Circuit City/Target-types) who don't stock the higher-price-point season sets, and just want to make a bigger selection of impulse-item style TV-DVD releases available to their customers at that cheaper prices point. The
Superman title shipped this past week (Warner never did release box art for that item to the press, by the way).
Now we've learned that Warner is doing the same thing for
The Waltons. On
March 28th the studio will make available
Season 1 (Disc 1) at a $14.94 SRP. This double-sided disc will have the following on it:
- Side A
- The Foundling
- The Carnival
- The Calf
- Side B
- The Hunt
- The Typewriter
- The Star
IF the studio makes cover art available for this title, we'll bring it to you of course.
