After the now-customary wait of about a year (the first season came in mid-May 2004, and the second season in late April 2005), Warner is prepping an
April 25th release of
The Waltons - The Complete 3rd Season. The 5-DVD set will have all 25 episodes chronicling the lives of the Walton family through the eyes of oldest son John-Boy. Guest stars this season included Richard Hatch, Kathleen Quinlan, Elizabeth Kerr, Richard Masur, Gerald McRaney, Willie Aames, Wilford Brimley, Erin Moran, Gloria Stuart and M. Emmet Walsh.
Walton grandparents Will Greer and Ellen Corby won Emmy Awards for Best Supporting Actor and Actress from their performances during the 3rd season, one in which Grandpa had a heart attack, John leaves to get a job at the Norfolk shipyard, John-Boy gets shot, Ben drives off in the truck without permission, Mary Ellen finds a lost ring in a purse she bought, and Olivia is excited about the prospect of her 20th wedding anniversary with John.
