Honesty. Integrity. Family. Stories of a family's - and a nation's - yesteryear continue in six Reunion Movies. Set in the 1940s are A Wedding on Walton's Mountain (will Erin have a change of heart?), Mothers' Day on Walton's Mountain (honoring the person everyone turns to when crises arise) and A Day for Thanks on Walton's Mountain (with Robert Wightman as John-Boy).
Taking place in the 1960s and featuring Richard Thomas as John-Boy are A Walton Thanksgiving Reunion (as a nation mourns the death of JFK), A Walton Wedding (no big-city Manhattan nuptials for John-Boy) and A Walton Easter (Happy 40th, John and Olivia!). Six warm Walton memories are yours to share. For fans of the family-friendly classic TV series, this 3-disc set features six made for television holiday-themed movies.
The saga will be complete on DVD this
January 26th, when Warner Home Video brings all six post-series reunion telefilms to DVD with
The Waltons - The Movie Collection. The 3-disc set running 707 minutes will include the following:
- "A Wedding on Walton's Mountain" (aired Feb. 1982)
- "Mother's Day on Walton's Mountain" (aired May 1982)
- "A Day for Thanks on Walton's Mountain" (aired Nov. 1982)
- "A Walton Thanksgiving Reunion" (aired Nov. 1993)
- "A Walton Wedding" (aired Feb. 1995)
- "A Walton Easter" (aired March 1997)
Cost is $39.98 SRP, with video presented in the original full frame format, and audio in English mono format for each of these full-length features. French subtitles are also listed. Each of the three discs in this set will be double-sided DVD-18's. Package art is available at the bottom.
This highly-anticipated release caps off a DVD run which began six years ago last month, with
The Homecoming - A Christmas Story, and followed with
all nine season sets (and which possibly should include
Spencer's Mountain, a Henry Fonda film based on the book that
The Waltons had also been based upon).
