After our
Top Cat news earlier, we bet you thought we were done. Not hardly. Now it's
Wacky Races turn, because that set is having some very cool extras as well.
For starters, we're looking at the possibility of extras (interviews and commentary tracks) by the designers of the various cars, Iwao Takamoto and Jerry Eisenberg. They also want to get others involved with the show, both crew and cast. One voice talent name that's come up a couple of times was Janet Waldo's ("Penelope Pitstop").
Featurettes, original bumpers, and a photo gallery with storyboards and original animation cels are all on the minds of the people working on this project. But's that's kind of a wish list right now, and we're not sure how many of these things will actually get squeezed onto the discs. Stay tuned, though, and we'll let you know what actually ends up on these DVDs, just as soon as Warner makes the info available. For my own part, I hope they manage to squeeze something in there about the spin-offs,
The Perils of Penelope Pitstop and
Dastardly &
Muttley In Their Flying Machines. That would be sweet, wouldn't it?
