When our own Gord Lacey
wrote about "stalled shows" on DVD last week, one of the programs which came up often with reader comments was
Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea. The first three seasons have each come out on DVD from Fox Home Entertainment, in half-season sets, with the most recent one arriving last October. So that leaves just the 26 episodes from the 4th and final season of the show, and fans wonder when - or if - these will be coming.
We asked Fox, and they tell us to pass along that they're not done with
Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea on DVD just yet! They'll try to continue with the next release in 2009, based on their current long-distance schedule. Nothing's finalized or set in stone just yet, so we can't tell you exactly when it will be, or whether it will be a full-season or half-season set (although we expect more half-seasons, like the previous collections). But those are their plans right now.
Stay tuned, of course, and we'll update you with further developments on this as they occur!
