Yesterday we
broke the news that the online store at Voltron.com is direct-selling a limited DVD edition of
Voltron - Fleet of Doom. The folks at WEP wrote us today to thank us for passing the word on to our readers, saying that all of your calls to WEP about this have "made our receptionist very busy." Unfortunately, they also had this to say:
Due to some disc printing issues the Fleet disc is going to be delayed a week or so. We just want to make sure we get it right as we know this is one that hardcore fans have been looking forward to.
So fans who have been placing their order today will have noticed that the order page now says that the ship date is
July 6th. At least this isn't a long delay.
Another thing that we've gotten a lot of feedback about is the crazy "International Economy" shipping cost, which said it would be more than $60 if the shopper selected that option. We asked WEP about that, and they said they are looking into the problem. That was earlier today, and so I'm not actually sure of the status of this: it might actually be fixed by now, for all I know. If it's not, keep trying back.
We'll let you know if there's any further updates on this. Our thanks to the folks at WEP for all of their cooperation.
