The other day we
brought you the unfortunate news that
Voltron: Defender of the Universe - Collection 3: Green Lion was delayed from its release date of Feb. 27th, until some time in May. At the time, we mentioned that the date in Media Blasters' computer system was Monday, May 7th, but they've agreed that "putting out a DVD on a Monday would surely bring about the apocalypse" (heh, funny...but to set the record straight, there actually *were* some TV-DVDs released
on Mon. Dec. 26, 2005, to take advantage of day-after-Christmas store traffic).
In any case, Media Blasters confirms that the new date is what we thought it would be,
Tuesday, May 8th, 2007. The schedule change is "due to materials issues." Media Blasters is in the process of making sure all retailers have the new date, so look for corrections soon at online pre-order listings such as
Amazon.com. We're still waiting on the complete list of contents and extras (who knows; the "materials issues" might just be surrounding the tin case, but it could also refer to production materials needed for episodes or for bonus features), so stay tuned and we'll bring you that info when it's provided.
