As we
reported last weekend, the DVD release of
Voltron - Volume 2: Yellow Lion has been pushed back until
December 12th. The reason for that, by the way, is due to production shortages of the tin that the collectable set will be enclosed in. We've heard that a few folks around the country have found copies leaked out here and there, but people are paying full list price for those. If you wait a bit, you can get it discounted as low as $22.99 at various stores such as Best Buy, or you can simply
pre-order it from Amazon for that same $22.99 price and sit back, knowing it will come to you in just a couple of weeks.
In the meantime, as promised, I've gone through the check discs that Media Blasters has been kind enough to send me. I haven't had time to watch every episode, but my son and I sampled enough episodes to assure everyone that the wonderful quality - both video and audio - seen in the first DVD release is still there. So instead I concentrated on getting over a dozen screen shots for you of the menu screens, and of the extras that can be found on the 3rd disc. The bonus material is very enjoyable, and I managed to find out a number of things about
Voltron that I never knew! I wish there was more to the "TV Ads" featurette, but that's my only nit-pick. Other than that small criticism, this is another home run for Media Blasters and for WEP, and the team that really scores are us, the
Voltron fans! Take a look:

Don't forget that the 3rd set,
Green Lion, is being prepped right now for a
February 27th release. You can
pre-order that from Amazon as well, and don't forget that clicking an Amazon link on the TVShowsOnDVD.com website to buy an item will help to support this site. We appreciate it!
